  • Discover Akihabara, Ueno and the traditional neighborhood of Yanaka, known for its Japanese cemetery.

    Visit extraordinary Yayoi Kusama Museum and end your day in the Otaku paradise of Nakano.

  • Visit calm Zojo-ji Temple and soak in the sights of Tokyo Tower. Experience an extraordinary sushi Omakase and visit Suntory Art Museum.

    Stroll through Omotesando’s boutiques and architecture before exploring Shibuya.

  • Visit Asakusa and Kappabashi street, the luxurious area of Ginza and Nihonbashi.

  • Start the day in grand Meiji shrine, proceed to bustling Shinjuku and the MET Observatory.

    Visit the renowned TeamLab and explore the Ebisu and Naka Meguro areas.

  • Travel to imperial Kyoto, visiting beautiful Nijo Castle and the modern side of the former capital city.

    Marvel at Kenin-ji and take in the Geiko district of Miyagawasuji.

  • Rise early to watch the sun rise over Kyomizu-dera, explore the golden Kinkaku-ji and the lesser know, moss-covered temples of Arashiyama.

    Visit the wonderful Fukuda Art Museum and Nishiki Market.

  • Explore under the radar shrines surrounded by beautiful gardens, the alleys of Gion and the Kyocera Art Museum.

    After dark, the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha and its thousands of toriis.

  • Take in hectic Osaka, from Nipponbashi to Tsutenkaku.

    Visit Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori and Kuromon market and the unique neon landscape of the area.

  • Take a trip to Daruma pradise in Katsuo-ji, the iconic Expo 70 Park and cool Nakazakicho.

  • Experience an intimate tuna auction away from any crowds and travel to Okayama, where we will transfer to Teshima.

    Visit the singular Teshima Art Museum and Yokoo House.

  • A day devoted to the diverse and fabulous Benesse Art Site, starting at the Benesse House and ending at the Chichu Art Museum.

  • Early morning transfer to Okayama station or airport.

    80% no later than 60 days prior to the start of Expedition: 5.024€

    Total: 6.280€ All Inclusive (except exclusions in the program)

  • The standard for this Expedition is that of boutique and four-star hotels with breakfast and amenities included. Accommodation is of double occupancy. If requested, a single supplement of 750€ applies.

    The Ylem Expedition Company is not responsible for the unavailability of the designated accommodation options, but will ensure Guests stay in next available option of the same quality standards.

  • Insurance is contracted on behalf of every individual guest and is only valid for the duration of the expedition.

  • International flights are not included. Each guest is responsible for securing any travel arrangements to and from Tokyo.

    The Ylem Expedition Company is not responsible for any flight delays or cancellations that may impact a Guest’s itinerary, but will provide assistance in finding alternatives and making sure it affects the trip as little as possible. Because your individual insurance policy on this trip only covers the days in Japan, we advise the purchase of insurance with your flights.
